Scott Jameson Leaves 105.7 The Fan Baltimore: What's Next for the Station? (2026)

In a significant shift for Baltimore's sports radio scene, Scott Jameson is set to leave his position as the Brand Manager of Audacy Sports' 105.7 The Fan (https://www.audacy.com/1057thefan) on March 20, just over a year after he took on the role.

Jameson began his tenure at WJZ-FM in early 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience in radio management. Before joining 105.7 The Fan, he served as the Vice President of National Content and Program Director for Beasley Media Group's Classic Rock station, 94.7 WCSX in Detroit, a position he held from July 2020 until he opted for a voluntary retirement buyout in May 2024. His extensive career also includes significant roles such as Operations Manager for Cumulus Minneapolis, Program Director for Classic Rock 92.5 KQRS, and Vice President for Classic Rock at Cumulus Media. Moreover, he worked with CBS Radio as VP of Adult Rock and was the Program Director for AAA station 92.9 Dave-FM WZGC in Atlanta from 2009 to 2012. Notably, Jameson dedicated fifteen years to managing Classic Rock Q95 WFBQ and Rock 103X WRZX in Indianapolis, along with a brief stint at KY102 KYYS in Kansas City.

In a heartfelt memo distributed to the staff, Tracy Brandys, Audacy Baltimore's Senior Vice President and Market Manager, praised Jameson's contributions: "Scott joined us one year ago and, during that time, did an outstanding job working with our talent to help transform THE FAN into a contemporary sports brand. His commitment to creating content-rich programming and enhancing our video offerings has significantly strengthened listener engagement across all platforms—on air, online, and through digital channels. This was a tough decision for Scott, who genuinely loves his work at 105.7 The Fan and our team. However, balancing his professional duties in Baltimore while his family remains in Detroit has posed considerable challenges. With his wife's recent promotion, it became clear that moving the family to Baltimore would not be feasible."

Adding his own thoughts, Jameson remarked, "While this was a difficult decision, I’m incredibly grateful for my time at 105.7 The Fan. I will miss collaborating with such a talented group and wish the station ongoing success. I’ll be cheering you on from a distance."

As the radio landscape continues to evolve, Audacy is now gearing up to search for Jameson's successor, signaling a new chapter for 105.7 The Fan.
